Two Killed, Nine Wounded as Junta Shells DKBA-Linked Chinese Scam Compound in Phalu

14 November, 2025

A junta artillery strike hit a DKBA-controlled financial scam compound in Phalu Village, Myawaddy Township, at around 11:30 a.m. on 13 November. The blast seriously injured 11 people, and two others died while being transported to Mae Sot Hospital in Thailand, according to sources.

The artillery strike targeted the DKBA-controlled security facility atop a Chinese-operated financial scam compound near Buddha Hill in Phalu Village, resulting in casualties among DKBA personnel, Chinese nationals, and 11 civilians.

“It’s not clear whether the shells came from the junta or from Lay Kay Kaw. One hit the DKBA tiger gate, and locals saw hospital vehicles from Phop Phra and Mae Sot carrying the wounded across the river to Thailand. One DKBA fighter and one civilian—possibly a Chinese national—died, while one woman and eight men were sent to Mae Sot Hospital,” according to a Phalu Village resident speaking to PRM.

Today, while media outlets widely reported that the U.S. government had issued economic sanctions against four DKBA commanders based in Myawaddy, Kyauk Khat, and Sone Si Mying villages, junta forces simultaneously launched an assault on DKBA positions in the area.

As of this evening, DKBA forces in Phalu Village have not reportedly engaged in any military operations, strengthened security, or closed Chinese-run financial scam compounds, restaurants, or markets, according to sources.
