Military bombs Poke Nar Kyun, killing 15 including children, injuring about 20

At around 2:05 PM today, the military launched a jet fighter attack on Yo Ngu village in Poke Nar Kyun Township, Rakhine State, killing 15 local civilians including children and injuring about 20 others, according to local residents.
A resident of Poke Nar Kyun said the airstrike targeted the village market and near the school in central Yo Ngu village with two jet fighters dropping two 500-pound bombs.
“There are lots of injuries and deaths. Right now we know 14 people died. Many more got hurt. Kids were among them too,” the resident said.
In addition, many homes were burned and destroyed, and the resident said the number of injuries and deaths could continue to rise.
“There are lots of war-displaced people among the dead and injured. Right now, they’re still checking the bodies. The injured people have pretty serious wounds too,” he said.
In addition, the village market, school, and many homes in Yo Ngu village were also burned and destroyed.
