14 July, 2025

In the area of Brigade 2 in Kyaukme Township, northern Shan State, a woman was injured after the military council carried out an airstrike and bombardment again, according to the TNLA.

On the morning of July 13, at approximately 6 a.m., military jet fighters carried out an aerial bombing targeting Pinnekone village with three bombs and B.E.H.S. (13) school with one bomb. According to local reports, the attack injured a 60-year-old woman.

As a result of the airstrike, two houses and the Zalatwar Sweet Dry Factory were hit by bombs. Additionally, three cars and five motorcycles were damaged.

"The person got injured while just staying at home. The bombs were dropped suddenly — there was no fighting at all. None of the residents tried to avoid or escape," said a resident from Kyaukme.

On July 11, the military council carried out another airstrike on Kyaukme town, resulting in the death of one man and injuries to five others. Four houses were also damaged in the attack.

From June 10 to July 12, a total of seven airstrikes were carried out — five times in Kyaukme Township, and once each in Thone Se Village of Naungcho Township, Mogok, and Thibaw.
As a result of the bomb explosions, seven people, including children, were killed, while two children and 33 civilians were injured. In addition, 54 houses, one school, and four monasteries were damaged by the blasts.

Due to the airstrikes, the civilian population is urged to remain constantly vigilant and take necessary precautions to avoid the military council’s attacks. It is also emphasized that following aerial defense measures is essential to protect against future air raids.
