In Tanintharyi Region, Pulaw Township, the regime army bombed and attacked Tan Shinn Village in Pala City using jet fighters, according to reports.

On October 16, at around 2:30 p.m., a junta jet fighter from the Myeik Air Base attacked Tan Shinn Village in Pala Town, dropping two bombs and firing with machine guns, according to a revolutionary force comrade.

“The planes fly over every day. There is constant fighting with the military around Pala,” he said.

The two bombs fell inside a compound in Tan Shinn Village, so no civilians were affected, according to the comrade.

“It didn’t impact people. It didn’t hit any houses. It just fell in the yard. I don’t know what kind of bomb it was,” he said.

Since July, intense fighting has continued in Pala Town, Pulaw Township, and ongoing airstrikes by junta forces have reportedly forced more than 5,000 local residents to seek safety elsewhere.

“We don’t dare go home. We don’t know when the planes will come. The soldiers enter the village and arrest anyone they find. They burn down the houses. We haven’t been home for about three months,” said a man from Pala.

On 14 October, junta forces targeted Htee Khee Village near the Thailand–Myanmar border with an airstrike, setting a shop on fire and injuring two local residents.
