2 July, 2025
In Mandalay Region, the military council launched an aerial attack on Sink Ku Township, resulting in the death of one woman, according to the Pyin Oo Lwin District PDF.
At around 11:50 a.m. on June 29, a fighter jet from Tada-U Air Base carried out an airstrike on Let Pan Hla Village in the Pyi Sone Aung neighborhood, killing 40-year-old Ma Khin Myo San and destroying three houses.
"Only one person was killed, but it was a 300-pound bomb, so it was quite intense. She was hit directly — her bones and flesh were scattered separately. There were no other injuries. There wasn’t even any fighting going on; they just dropped the bomb," said a spokesperson from the Pyin Oo Lwin District PDF.
Currently, residents of Sink Ku Township have not fled the area. Instead, they hide in bunkers when aircraft approach, and once the planes leave, they return to their normal daily lives, according to reports.
At around 10 p.m. that night, a MiG-29 fighter jet from Tada-U carried out an airstrike on the Union Solidarity and Development Party office located in Sink Ku.
Due to the airstrike, one building of the Solidarity and Development Party office was damaged, and there were no civilian casualties, according to reports.
The people have also been urged to live far away from the military council and to dig bunkers for protection against aerial attacks.
