Kyone Doe/Kawkareik Military Commission and DKBA Convoys Advance Toward Asia Road/Myawaddy

The military junta battalions have entered Kyone Doe, Kawkareik, and villages in Nabu, accelerating their efforts to support the Aung Zeya operation along the Kawkareik, Myawaddy, and Asia Road areas to capture and secure territory.
"New soldiers from Hpa-an and Mawlamyine are sending more ammunition from Kyone Doe to Kawkareik. From the village roads, the military is coming up towards Nabu, Kyundo/Myapatai, and Kawkareik village towards Asia Road. The weapon is firing continuously," a source from the KNLA allied forces said.
In July, the military council troops and DKBA battalions regained control and stationed forces along the Kyun Doe–Kawkareik route. Since then, heavy artillery fire and destruction have continued targeting villages where KNLA allied forces may be present, a displaced resident from Nwar Chan Khone village reported.
"I don't dare to go back to my village. They are destroying it every day with heavy weapons. The 545th / 546th Armies are firing, as well as the SaKaSa 12th Army, using large shells. They fire daily because the KNU and PDF are allowed to come. The DKBA commander has said they will destroy the entire village. Houses along the main road are already damaged, as if hit by military drones," said a villager from Ngar Tai.
On August 7, as military commission troops advanced from their base, fighting broke out in Innkyi village after KNLA allied forces launched a counterattack. Additionally, heavy exchanges of gunfire occurred near Yankut village and the lower Kawkareik Kaungmu area, involving military commission troops and KNLA allied forces, according to local KNLA commanders responsible for the area.
